Activity: Balance a bottle cap on only 1 straw. Your bottle cap must stay balanced for 1 minute.

Materials:

• Plastic bottle cap
• Plastic drinking straws
• Timer
• Scissors

Let’s think about it:

• How many caps can you balance at a time?
• Are larger or smaller caps easier to balance?
• Is it easier to balance on a long or short straw?
