‘Tis the season for flyers and ads to begin showing up in our mailboxes. Before recycling these, offer them to your children to page through and create a holiday wish list. This is a great way to get ahead of the holiday rush, gather ideas to pass along to AND work in extra fine motor practice! Young children can circle their favorites or cut and glue instead of writing.
One last tip! Encourage kindness, by asking them to browse for more than just toys. Do they see something that could make others happy? Keep those hands busy cutting out something thoughtful for a neighbor, sibling, or even a parent!
